We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to optimise processes across various departments to meet organisational goals.
Duties
Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
Manage and optimise supply chain operations, including inventory control and logistics coordination.
Utilise SAP and ERP systems to monitor production schedules, analyse data, and generate reports.
Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency and reducing waste.
Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards and compliance requirements.
Implement process improvements through analysis of workflow and mechanical systems optimisation.
Collaborate with engineering teams on assembly line modifications and mechanical troubleshooting.
Maintain health and safety standards across the production floor, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Supervise and motivate production staff, providing training and development opportunities as needed.
Skills
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly and mechanical systems.
Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Knowledge of quality control standards and techniques.
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Leadership qualities with proven experience in team management and staff development.
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity.
