You will have responsibility for a case load of child in need cases overseeing the key workers and their child in need-led cases chairing relevant meetings working with data sets and targets chairing strategy meetings and completing section 47 enquiries. You will be the driving force of the plans and provide monthly oversight on the cases you hold alongside supporting the progression of plans and interventions with children and their families. You will work closely with the team and partnership manager the team leaders and the team manager for a joined up coordinated approach to cases which may include you identifying escalations and case step is a really rare and exciting opportunity to joinA DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.For information on our approach to the recruitment of ex-offenders please see our policy statement.About YouPlease refer to the 7-point criteria giving examples of how you meet the criteria belowTo collaborate with the Team Manager Team and Partnership Manager (TAPM) and Team Leaders in providing Social Work oversight advice and guidance on all the Child in Need cases that are assessed to be appropriate to allocate to Keyworkers in Family Help. This will be done monthly and can be through case audits formal consultation advice/case discussions attending/chairing family network/CIN meetings joint supervision and/or joint visits. This oversight will be monitored and reviewed as part of a performance framework.To chair (as a minimum) the first and last Child in Need meetings for all Child in Need cases allocated to Keyworkers in Family Help as part of a robust reviewing process in line with Child in Need procedures and with all actions reviewed and all participants held accountable for their contribution to the SMART must be able to also identify any cases which may require escalation step ups and possibly initial child protection conferences or strategy discussions. You must be able to chair strategy meetings and complete section 47 enquiries if required. To prepare reports for case conferences meetings courts panels or other purposes as required and to attend/chair a range of identified meetings including Child in Need meetings team meetings and service meetings.To provide accurate and timely records of meetings and up-to-date records of monthly/ongoing oversight using specified formats within agreed timescales and in line with Social Work practice standards.To contribute and chair weekly POD meetings map cases and agree and negotiate tasks/activities on cases and to undertake continuing professional and personal development to maintain and update knowledge and skills.To analyse understand interpret formulate actions and set targets from quantitative and qualitative sources such as data dashboards tableau. To monitor the duty inbox on a daily basis monitor and add any incoming cases to the locality spreadsheet present incoming cases in weekly stand-up meetings decipher whether cases are key worker or social worker led in collaborative discussions with the social worker team manager and have a regular dialogue with our colleagues in the first response team about incoming cases.To take account of a childs individual needs and their familys cultural racial linguistic gender sexuality identity ability background and religious persuasion in providing services.
