We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Integration Test Engineer, to join our dynamic growing R&D team.


The role


As Software Integration Test Engineer, you will be responsible for writing and executing manual verification and validation integration tests of embedded medical devices and the digital systems that integrate with them.


Key duties:


  • Testing embedded medical devices and mobile or web applications that interface with embedded medical devices.
  • Contributing to the design, creation, execution and documentation or software testing activities across multiple software projects and technology stacks.
  • Executing testing strategies throughout the software development Lifecyle.
  • Supporting with documenting the process requires to comply with relevant medical device standards.
  • Writing and performing software integration tests between different software applications, often involving hardware integration.
  • Working within a modern Devops environment, following processes and workflows to ensure a secure and efficient development process is adhered to.

What are we looking for?

Key skills


  • Software Engineering or relevant Computer Science related degree
  • Proficient in carrying out manual software tests
  • Testing of IoT connected devices and mobile applications utilising BLE and Internet connectivity.
  • Familiar with modern testing tools and techniques – e,g, TDD, BDD, automation frameworks
  • Requirement management principles (i.e. hierarchy, traceability) and tools to manage them.
  • Software development toolchains – Azure Devops, Visual Studio
  • Experience of design and validation of medical device software or other safety critical / regulated environments i.e. ISO 13485, EN 62304, 21 CFR 820, ISO 14971 compliance
  • Curious and eager to learn with a growth mindset.
