Full training / PPE / use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our drainage engineers have the right tools competency and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience.Position: Van Pack Drainage EngineerLocation: Swindon Treatment Works Thames Valley Region (Swindon Wiltshire)Job Type: Permanent full-timeHours: Monday to Friday 40 hours plus every other weekend (working both earlies and lates)Salary:OTE 37000 per annum (made up of basic pay overtime on call allowance and bonuses)Benefits: 21 days holiday (plus bank holidays); health cash plan; free onsite parking; auto enrolment pension scheme; friendly working environment.STRICTLY NO AGENCIES PLEASEAbout the Role:Due to continued growth and development we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems.Travelling to residential sites in a van you are responsible for around the region powering a high-pressure water jet for restorationClean clear and maintain drainage systemsRecord each job report correctly on the specialist equipment providedRun diagnostics and repairs on drainsDelivering good customer serviceMaintaining good health and safety practise while carrying out worksEnsure vehicle stock is full and replenishedComply with health and safety responsibilities i.e. PPE / safe site setups protecting Lanes Group employees the public and other road usersUtilise VISTEC and Salesforce platformsWork unsupervised in all weather conditions wearing correct PPE and utilising the lone worker systemDynamically risk assess site access and working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrivalLiaising with the client regarding process and any updatesProvide support to your colleaguesConduct thorough inspections of tools equipment and plant before and after useReport any defects or malfunctionsCarry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perceptionBe aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards themAny other reasonable ad-hoc tasks duties or projects as requested by managementSo if you enjoy working outdoors and delivering only the best in customer service where no two days are the same and want to join a growing company that not only values you and your ability - but also strives to develop your potential and further your career progression then we are the right Company for you.What is essential is the ability to work safely to quickly diagnose and deliver practical and efficient solutions to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.FULL TRAINING GIVEN - Great OpportunityAbout You:The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of High Pressure Jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
