We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in a bustling secondary school environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring all areas are clean and well-organised.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with kitchen deliveries, managing the receipt and storage of supplies.
  • Responsible for pot washing and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly.
  • Assist the kitchen staff with basic food preparation as needed.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment at all times.
  • Handle heavy lifting tasks associated with kitchen deliveries and cleaning duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
