About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Technical Lead to join a prestigious team delivering cutting-edge technology solutions within a highly sensitive National Intelligence environment. You will contribute to transforming critical public sector services, solving complex challenges for the UK Government by developing modern, cloud-ready applications that prioritize end-user value.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of secure web applications using object-oriented programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, or C#.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features that align with the mission-critical needs of the National Intelligence sector.
  • Drive and participate in agile software development practices, ensuring delivery excellence and continuous improvement in a high-stakes environment.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to developers, fostering innovation while maintaining the highest security and performance standards.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects on time and in line with strategic objectives.


What You’ll Bring:

  • You will have proven coding experience in Java, TypeScript, or C# within complex technical environments.
  • Possess a familiarity with front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile development methodologies and a demonstrated ability to lead teams in delivering secure, scalable solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage challenges in highly sensitive and secure settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Availability to work in the office at least three days a week, with flexibility to accommodate project demands.
