Salary: £34,000


Job Purpose: Design and develop new products for the Clients product range.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Respond to commercial briefs for product specifications.
  • Develop innovative ideas for new products.
  • Create drawings to obtain design approval.
  • Design new products using 3D CAD.
  • Prototype new products as required.
  • Test new products and use analysis to review and improve product design.
  • Test and evaluate competitors’ products.
  • Ensure adherence to all processes and complete necessary documentation.
  • Attend team meetings to provide updates on current projects.
  • Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy, ensuring any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in your absence.

  • Practical skills prioritized over academic qualifications.


Education and/or Experience:


  • Degree in Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in designing with plastics.
  • Engineering background with essential experience in 3D CAD.
  • Experience in designing components for plastic injection moulding of domestic components and materials is essential.
  • Experience in commissioning injection mould tools is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with Siemens NX is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in liaising with tooling and manufacturing engineers is preferred but not essential.
