Brightsparks, an industry-leading digital marketing agency specialising in behaviour change for social good, is seeking an experienced PPC Manager. This role is critical to the strategic design, execution, and management of digital PPC, paid media, and organic marketing campaigns across the agency.


This role is perfect for an PPC Manager with experience operating in a agency environment or across sectors such as health, social care, charity, NHS or net zero. The role will be a permanent contract at 35 hours per week.


The role will work on a hybrid basis with dedicated time required each week in our York city centre office as well as opportunity for remote working too. All of the projects that role will touch will be social purpose projects so this represents a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in people's lives every day.

Brightsparks works extensively in the areas of marketing, campaigns, creative and consultancy projects with organisations like NHS trusts, local authorities and national and international charities and NGO's.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design the strategy, execution, implementation, and ongoing management of planned digital PPC, paid media, and organic marketing campaigns across the agency.
  • Manage the development, execution, and evaluation of digital media buying, working within pre-agreed budgets to maximise ROI for the agency and its clients.
  • Provide leadership, management, and accountability to digital marketing staff and contractors.
  • Develop and work within systems and processes to ensure optimal media buying performance.
  • Be client-facing when necessary for client onboarding and discovery sessions to obtain requirements and present recommendations on media buying approaches.
  • Analyse and manage existing ad campaigns to achieve and exceed performance KPIs where possible.
  • Support Brightsparks' business development activities.
  • Ensure 80% of accounts/projects are on track or successfully achieved against the company scorecard.
  • Oversee all PPC and paid digital media campaigns.
  • Drive forward innovation and continuous improvement in media buying client programmes.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance.


Required Experience:

  • Relevant digital media ad platform qualifications and training.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and managing pay-per-click (PPC) digital marketing.
  • 3 years of experience successfully delivering digital and/or marketing projects in agency settings.
  • 2 years of experience developing campaigns across a standard range of PPC and paid media platforms.
