Reimagine the possibilitiesYour role and responsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Network Inspector youll play a key role in keeping Suffolks roads safe and moving. Your mission Work with utility companies and other contractors to reduce disruption for road users improve safety and protect the integrity of our highways.Youll inspect works on the highway under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and Traffic Management Act 2004 making sure everything meets the required standardsand taking action when it doesnt.Collaboration is key: youll work closely with the Network Co-ordinator to plan and coordinate works ensuring minimal inconvenience to the this impartial role youll treat all activitieswhether from Suffolk Highways public utilities or private contractorswith fairness and consistency.If youre passionate about road safety and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders this is your chance to make a real impactYou will needa curious practical mindset and a passion for keeping Suffolks roads safe efficient and in great conditiona good understanding of highways and street works legislationconfidence inspecting works and spotting issues earlystrong communication and collaboration skillstechnical know-how or enthusiasm to develop itan eye for safety and qualityconfidence handling evidence and documentationa proactive solutions-focused approachflexibility and resilience.You can view a full list of requirements in theJob and Person Profile (Word).If you believe you can succeed in this role apply.
