This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career. 

This role will Assist the Finance Manager to empower colleagues in making informed financial decisions through the provision of strategic planning, value-added reporting, innovative solutions, support and guidance to achieve the businesses financial objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

-    Oversee daily validation of data into the accounting software

-    Produce, review and distribute various financial reports

-    Process month-end accounting adjustments to ensure accurate reporting of monthly financial results

-    Review and analyse income and costs, including budget (or latest reforecast) variances

-    Analyse, substantiate and report on assigned Balance Sheet accounts

-    Oversee intercompany trading and non-trading account reconciliations

-    Business partner with various departments and management to support financial decision making

-    Ensure effective internal communication with colleagues, including our Shared Service Centre

-    Assist in budget setting and periodic reforecasts of budget

-    Assist in annual production of statutory accounts, including gathering information and posting final journals

-    Analyse financial performance and assist in medium and long-term business planning and forecasts

-    Provide absence cover for line manager on priority tasks

-    Support monitoring and evaluating processes and suggest improvements where needed

-    Contribute to effective corporate governance, risk management and internal controls

Technical Skills & Experience:

-    Relevant professional qualification - AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA 

-    Experience of working in an assistant management accounting role, or similar 

-    Intermediate Excel skills 

-    Experience of working in a dynamic finance environment 

Our client is offering flexible working and hybrid working following completition of training and probation.
