Bid Writer - Social HousingStratford - Hybrid Up to £60k per year The RoleYou will support the development of new business and new opportunities through the tender process, working as part of a team responsible for delivering industry-leading bids.The ideal candidate will be able to write effective, concise and compelling content, while working well under the pressure of deadlines. You will have experience in social housing planned and responsive works, with a strong commitment to high-quality service, best practice, and continuous improvement.You will work closely with directors, operational specialists, and technical leads to create high-impact responses that clearly address client needs. Alongside writing, you will manage the bid process from start to finish. You will ensure responses are fully bespoke, compliant, and score highly against marking criteria. Confidence in both giving and receiving feedback is essential, as collaboration is key to winning work and supporting ongoing team development.ResponsibilitiesAssure all aspects of each bid, ensuring outcomes are clearly described in content and presentationManage interaction with contracting bodies and stakeholders throughout the processTake full responsibility for bids, including planning, hosting kick-off meetings, coordinating written responses, and sharing knowledge internallyWork with Business Development and Client Services to interpret client requirements and produce persuasive documents and presentationsWrite and edit high-quality tender submissions to agreed deadlinesRequirementsConfident verbal and written communication skillsExperience within social housing or the construction sectorAbility to interpret tender documents and develop appropriate, tailored responses2+ years’ bidding experienceBenefitsAnnual holiday: 25 days + bank holidaysLong service awards recognising continuous service at key milestonesPerkbox access, including free coffees, cinema tickets, trips away and moreVolunteer day: one paid volunteer day each year for a worthy cause
