As a Project Planner, you will create and develop realistic, baselined project plans that support successful project delivery, providing effective communication to these plans and any deviations and their criticality to all necessary stakeholders, using appropriate reporting tools to do so. This role is crucial to contributing to the design and development of the planning system and reporting solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Construct and develop plans to define the work required to deliver projects using logical sequencing and linkages.
  • Develop models for resource consumption to accurately predict demands on various functions across the business.
  • Manage the plans through to completion leveraging any opportunities that arise to improve project outcomes.
  • Identify any risks and impact to the project plan and ensure these are appropriately reported.
  • Attend and proactively participate in meetings with appropriate stakeholders to manage the plans.
  • To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure.
  • To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of project planning.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to your job role.


Skills & Knowledge:

  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of a mainstream PPM software solution such as Microsoft PWA, Primavera P6 or similar.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the principles of Project Management. This may be demonstrated through attainment of Prince 2, APM PMQ or similar qualification or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Power BI reporting tool.
  • Previous experience as Project Planner in a precision engineering and manufacturing environment.
  • To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues.
  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
  • Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills.
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety.
