SEN / SEMH Trainee Teaching Assistant – Bristol & Bath Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? About the Role As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you’ll gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting children and young people aged 4–19 across a range of specialist and inclusive schools in the Bristol and Bath region. You’ll work with pupils who have a variety of needs, including: Autism (ASC) ADHD Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) Challenging Behaviour Learning Difficulties Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) This is an agency-based role, offering a mix of short-term, long-term, and ad-hoc placements depending on school needs. While work cannot be guaranteed, successful trainees will receive paid placements and ongoing mentoring to help them develop and progress. Following a successful interview, safeguarding checks, and completion of your introductory training, you’ll begin a paid school placement to put your learning into practice. After five days of successful work and a positive reference, you can progress into a SEN Teaching Assistant role.
