Cable Assembly Technician

Our client is looking for a Cable Assembly Technician for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.ROLE We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our small team of Production Technicians to build and test cable assemblies. The successful applicant will need to provide a high level of production support to ensure the timely output of a wide range of assemblies. Full support and training will be provided. Working through day-to-day tasks issued by your line manager and in accordance with the production plan, on the wiring and assembly of production jobs.RESPONSIBILITIES:Adhering to Quality standards, following set procedures & workflows at all timesInspecting work in accordance with Inspection guidelinesHighlighting production errors to Production SupervisorSoldering, as required. Working towards IPC-620 standard (training will be provided)Conducting procedural tests on production productsUsing all test equipment, test fixtures and procedures whilst under supervision, as and when required.Working to high quality standards and workmanship.Taking full responsibility for personal health and safety at all timesWorking within and maintaining a safe environment, in conjunction with Lean and 6S, highlighting any incidents or concerns to the Production Supervisor.Supporting all production-related activities to ensure customer expectations and business goals are met.REQUIREMENTS:Qualifications & Experience:Experience of working in a manufacturing environmentExperience of soldering/electronics desirableAbility to follow work schedules and plansUnderstanding of technical drawingsBehavioural Competencies / Physical requirements:Manual dexterityAttention to detailWell organised & flexible
