Job Description SummaryThe Site FP&A & Business Partnering Leader is a critical leadership role at GE Aerospaces Eastleigh site within the Avionics division supporting approximately 80 employees across Program Management Engineering Supply Chain and Support Functions. With annual sales of $15M across civil and defense markets the site manages the full product lifecycle and has multiple new product introductions planned. As the sole site-based Finance role you will lead FP&A and Business Partnering collaborating with matrixed teams such as Engineering Finance Supply Chain Finance and Controllership. Reporting to the Avionics FP&A Leader in the USA you will partner with the Site Leadership team to drive results manage risks and enable profitable growth. This role also involves improving planning processes exploring automation and digitization opportunities and leveraging LEAN principles to eliminate waste while building trusted relationships to proactively manage risks and opportunities.If you have a strong financial expertise in planning analysis budgeting and reporting with experience managing P&L and driving performance business acumen wed love to hear from you.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for the design implementation and execution of all core FP&A processesDay to day management of FP&ADay to day support of the operational teamMonthly & quarterly reporting actuals design of insightful forward-looking analytics and management of key risks and opportunities for the FP&A leader and site leadership teamEngage with a broad range of Finance teams business partners and accounting centres of excellenceA focus on LEAN finding opportunities to identify waste and put plans to eliminate and improve productivityWriting & presentation of financial performance packs where requiredDevelopment of reporting framework identifying key metrics and KPIs that drive performance of the businessSupporting new business pursuits with financial modellingAdhoc reporting and analysis as directedEssential Requirements:Fully qualified professional accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/QBE) with post qualification experience.Strong understanding of P&L balance sheets and cash flow statementsStrong presentation skillsUnderstanding of key accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP depending upon role)Demonstrated development of strong cross functional relationships & networks to complete your work.Financial experience working in some combination of engineering and manufacturing preferably bothStrong excel and power point skillsSelf-starter who can work off their own initiativeStrong analytical mind and the ability to describe not just what happened but whyAble to fluently speak and write in English languagePreferential Experience and Skills:User of Oracle with experience of system implementation and upgrade projectsUser of SAGEKnowledge of Government Accounting would be beneficialFP&A experience including setting budgets and variance analysisStrong influencing skills and ability to partner with the businessStrong ability to plan communicate and execute according to defined timescalesGreat communicator both within and outside of the Finance functionFlexible WorkingGE supports and encourages flexible working arrangements where possible and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance.Total RewardAt GE Aerospace we understand the importance of Total Reward.
