A bustling Preston venue is seeking a Skilled sous Chef to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our continued success. This role provides both a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to develop your professional skills.

Sous Chef Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a busy kitchen environment
  • Experience in a Rosette-awarded restaurant is highly desirable but not essential
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and motivating a team
  • Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creative menu development
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards in both food quality and kitchen hygiene

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen operations
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to high standards
  • Help manage kitchen staff and oversee food preparation, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Contribute to menu development with innovative dishes that align with seasonal availability
  • Manage stock levels and supplier relations to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently
  • Uphold hygiene and safety protocols in the kitchen
