Employee Relations Specialist

Your new company
You will be joining the HR function of a large education provider in Oxford. The HR Employee Relations team are a team of subject-matter experts who support the managers and employees across this large organisation, navigating through complex ER situations related to HR change programmes as well as providing guidance on matters relating to occupational health, performance and HR change.
Your new role
This temporary role is to provide some additional expertise to the team of 4 experts and is expected to last for a minimum of 6 months. You will work with your dedicated client group to provide advice on UK employment law, processes obligations and best practice. You will use your previous experience of conflict resolution, investigations and understanding of terms and conditions to provide professional and prompt advice. You will partner with union reps and work to find solutions to matters relating to pay, performance and change. From time to time, you may be required to support with employment tribunal preparation and management.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience of working in an employee relations focused role in a large, complex organisation in the public sector is essential to be considered. You will ideally be CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified, and it would be desirable if you have had previous HR experience within Higher Education.
