A 4-office Southeast ICAEW, Xero platinum service, Sage accredited accountancy practice.- Located within 10 minutes' walk from Basingstoke, they are actively seeking an Audit Accounts Manager to manage a small accounts team and manage a client portfolio. The role involves regular client engagement with progression to Senior Manager and Director level.Your new role- Manage, motivate and co-ordinate a team of Audit/Accounts professionals across 3 offices.- The preparation, and review of accounts production for a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited company's, to ensure the Audit/Accounts compliance cycle is completed on time each year to meet internal, client and statutory deadlines.- Planning, managing, and reviewing audit engagements to ensure compliance with Clarified ISAs. Liaising with RI over key issues and ensuring effective audit completion.- The production and review (where necessary) of Companies House forms and statutory changes.- Mentor, train, and develop audit and accounts staff to enable them to pass professional accountancy examinations and provide them with t-the practical application and support required to use their formal training.- Working with outsourcing, payroll, and tax department colleagues on Audit/Accounts related issues and to develop cross-departmental working opportunities.What you'll need to succeed- Qualified with a recognised Audit/Accounts qualification (ICAEW or ACCA) or qualified by experience.- 5+ years of account preparation experience and 2+ years of experience of review of account preparation work- Excellent oral and written communication skills to produce clear and concise factual findings.- Flexible and adaptable to regulatory and business changes.- Self-motivated, quick thinking, and keen to show initiative.- Experience of leading and managing audit teams.What you'll get in return- We have free parking in all three of our offices.- New starters are entitled to join our Employee Health Benefit Scheme, allowing them to claim back money for things like dentist appointments, prescriptions etc.- We offer early Friday finishes at 4pm.- Free pizza for lunch on the last working day of each month.- New starters would be entitled to join our Peoples Pension Scheme, again, once they've passed their initial 3-month probation period.- All three of our offices are centrally located, with easy access to local shops/supermarkets, main roads and train stations.- Excellent staff Christmas Party and family Summer Event each yearWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
