This is an exciting opportunity within our client's well established and sought after organisation, offering strong potential for career progression. A forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary team of professionals is looking to recruit a CAD Technician to contribute to ongoing efforts as leaders in Fire and Building Safety.


Role Requirements

  • Interpreting and translating design concepts and ideas into accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software.
  • Collaborating with design engineers and architects to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
  • Adjusting and revising drawings as necessary, based on feedback from team members or clients.
  • Conducting quality control checks to ensure conformity with specifications and existing standards.
  • Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate as-built floor plans and elevations from point cloud data.
  • Assisting in the management of project files and CAD library.
  • Providing assistance and support to team members during the design and planning process. Key


Skills Required

  • Holds professional qualifications in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or a relevant qualification
  • Proven work experience as a CAD Technician.
  • Proficient in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit and Microstation).
  • Proficient in utilising Point Cloud date.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent spatial awareness and understanding of 2D and 3D modelling.
  • Familiarity with engineering or architectural design concepts and terminologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ISO 19650 standards for managing information over the whole life cycle of the project.
  • Background in surveying
