Overview:

A prestigious UK law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced partner to join its renowned International Private Wealth team in London. The firm offers a dynamic and collaborative environment with a strong client base of high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees across the globe. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex private wealth matters and leading a successful team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a varied caseload of high-net-worth individuals, families, and trust structures, including the management of both domestic and international clients.
  • Provide strategic advice on a wide range of wealth management issues, including succession planning, tax, estate planning, trusts, and family business structures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, offering bespoke legal services tailored to their complex needs.
  • Drive business development initiatives to expand the firm's international private wealth practice, including networking, attending industry events, and generating new client opportunities.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
  • Work closely with other departments within the firm, including corporate, dispute resolution, and tax, to provide holistic solutions for clients.
  • Oversee complex international matters, liaising with foreign counsel and ensuring compliance with local regulations across jurisdictions.
  • Ensure the firm's high standards of client care and legal expertise are consistently maintained.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in private wealth law, particularly in international matters involving high-net-worth individuals, families, and complex trust structures.
  • Proven track record in leading client relationships, managing complex matters, and providing high-quality strategic advice.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and tax considerations in various jurisdictions, with the ability to navigate cross-border issues.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, with an ability to network and generate new client opportunities.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing and mentoring junior lawyers and other team members.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • A respected reputation within the industry, with a clear desire to build a successful practice within the firm.
  • A strong academic background, ideally with a relevant legal qualification and experience working within a top-tier law firm.
