Handyperson / Facilities Maintenance Operative Gloucester/Cheltenham Manufacturing Facility Permanent £28,000 - £30,000 The Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Maintenance Operative to join an established SME manufacturing business ideally situated between Gloucester and Cheltenham. You will need to be practically minded with a hands-on attitude to support building, facilities and general site upkeep, ensuring the company is functional at all times. The work will be based in a modern purpose-built facility which has recently undergone refurbishments and extension to grow its capability. Duties Basic maintenance tasks, including changing fixtures and fitting. Small scale decorating tasks and touch up jobs within the buildings. Deal with basic plumbing issues and escalate more serious issues. Grounds maintenance including keeping external areas, car parks and walkways tidy. Basic gardening tasks such as weed control and plant upkeep. Monitor and replenish employee consumables. Carry out PAT testing (training will be provided). Conduct simple visual checks around the site for hazards. Manage company pool vehicles, including taking for servicing, MOTs, and valeting. Make occasional trips to offsite warehouse to collect materials, equipment or supplies. Background Experience in maintenance, facilities, or similar.
