Class 2 Driver Location: Chepstow, NP16 6UP Shift times: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 16:30 Pay Rate: £15.12 per hour Contract: Temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent Manpower is recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers on behalf of our client. This role is temp to perm for the ideal candidate. What you'll do on a typical day: Safely operate the delivery vehicle, adhering to business standards and protocols. Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA regulations. Perform white goods deliveries, accompanied by a driver's mate. Execute two types of deliveries: home deliveries and kerbside deliveries. For home deliveries, transport items to the customer's room of choice, including carrying items to homes that may be several stories high. For kerbside deliveries, hand off items directly to individuals on building sites. Deliver items such as white goods (e.g., dishwashers, washing machines, fridges), kitchen units, and worktops. Handle multidrop deliveries, with the number of stops varying daily. Use a handheld scanner and complete all necessary paperwork. The presence of a driver's mate depends on the delivery type; assistance is usually available on-site for kerbside deliveries.
