HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver – Work for the Council | Immediate Start | Worksop Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our local council client for an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join their dedicated team in Worksop. If you’re a reliable driver who takes pride in keeping communities clean and safe, this is a fantastic opportunity to secure steady, rewarding work with great hours and long-term potential. The Role You’ll be responsible for operating a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle while also actively assisting with waste and recycling collection. Although driving is a key part of the job, this role involves working hands-on as a Refuse Loader when needed — a great opportunity to stay active and work as part of a close-knit team. Key Responsibilities: Collect and load refuse and recycling bins across Worksop and surrounding areas. Safely operate a Class 2 refuse vehicle in accordance with all road and safety regulations. Work collaboratively with your crew to complete routes efficiently. Follow all Health & Safety protocols while driving and during manual work. Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and local businesses. What We’re Looking For A valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence Up-to-date CPC and tachograph card.
