Your remit will span:Financial Reporting ExcellenceLeading the preparation and delivery of consolidated Group accounts (full year and interim), ensuring IFRS compliance and best-in-class presentationOverseeing statutory reporting for multiple subsidiary entities, coordinating with local finance teams and ensuring adherence to both Group policies and local regulatory frameworksManaging consolidation processes and technical accounting treatments, working closely with the Technical Accounting teamSupporting the implementation of transformational finance systems and ERP projectsSustainability & ESG LeadershipChampioning non-financial reporting initiatives, particularly sustainability metrics, carbon emissions, and climate-related disclosuresImplementing CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) requirements and IFRS S1/S2 sustainability standardsDeveloping robust frameworks for ESG data collection, validation, and external assuranceEnsuring full compliance with TCFD recommendations and UK regulatory obligationsStakeholder ManagementActing as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing audit cycles efficiently and professionallyCollaborating with Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Legal teams to ensure seamless reportingSupporting Audit Committee reporting and preparing insightful papers for senior stakeholdersBuilding strong relationships across the wider finance communityTeam DevelopmentLeading and inspiring a small, talented team of finance professionalsProviding coaching, mentorship, and creating opportunities for continuous developmentFostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvementWhat We're Looking ForEssential Qualifications & ExperienceTop 10 practice-qualified (ACA/CA) OR ACCA/CIMA qualified with substantial experience in a listed or large corporate environmentDemonstrable experience in statutory reporting within a listed company, large Plc, or complex multi-national organisationStrong technical IFRS knowledge with the ability to apply practical judgement to complex accounting scenariosExperience managing statutory accounts for multiple entities and navigating diverse regulatory environmentsTrack record of delivering accurate, high-quality financial reporting to tight deadlinesKey AttributesTechnical excellence combined with commercial acumen and strategic thinkingStrong leadership capabilities with proven experience developing and motivating teamsExceptional communication skills - able to translate complex technical matters for non-financial audiencesExperience working within robust control frameworks (SOX or equivalent)Proactive mindset with intellectual curiosity about emerging reporting standards, particularly around sustainabilitySolution-focused approach with the ability to drive change and process improvementWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary of circa £100,000Performance bonus of up to 25%Comprehensive benefits package including pension, healthcare, and lifestyle benefitsOpportunity to work with a high-profile, market-leading organisationGenuine career progression potential within a supportive and dynamic environmentExposure to cutting-edge reporting requirements including sustainability and climate disclosuresInvolvement in major transformation projects
