The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.JOB PURPOSE Join the BBC Digital News team at the heart of the newsroom producing fast accurate stories and videos that reach millions in the UK and worldwide. As a Journalist youll craft compelling content for live pages and key news moments helping shape how audiences experience breaking news and in-depth analysis across BBC platforms.These shift-based roles will include weekends and nights.WHY JOIN THE TEAMYoull be part of a team that thrives on breaking news and creative storytelling. Tasks could range from jumping on a breaking news live page to writing a news story working with a correspondent on analysis or producing fast turnaround video of key news moments.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACTWrite clear accurate and engaging news stories and live page updates under tight deadlines.Collaborate with correspondents and editors to deliver analysis and creative treatments.Generate ideas that attract new audiences and diversify coverage.Respond quickly to breaking news and make editorial decisions under pressure.Produce and edit timely digital video with flair and context for BBC audiences.YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIAExperience of writing fast-paced breaking online news stories or live-page posts with attention to accuracy context and toneA proven capacity to generate ideas that will help bring in new audiences and broaden our editorial agendaA track record of working swiftly and making decisions under intense pressureA track record of covering the UK and international news agendaUnderstanding of audience behaviour and analyticsDESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIALFamiliarity with innovative digital formats and visual storytelling.Experience of producing and editing news video that will appeal to digital news consumers Key Skills Filming,HTML5,Interviewing,AP Style,Research Experience,Ftp,Journalism,SEO,Final Cut Pro,Video production,Photo Editing,Writing Skills Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 28400 - 38750
