Test Engineer - Power SystemsLocation: Rochester, UK.We're at the forefront of sophisticated metering and data acquisition solutions for the power industry. Our innovative team develops and delivers complex network solutions, specialising in Dynamic System Monitoring, Power Quality, and Generator performance monitoring.We're seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our Rochester team, taking ownership of electrical and mechanical testing for our advanced metering solutions.Please note: this role requires candidates to have current and permanent right to work in the UK. We are unable to support visa applications for this position. What part will you play?• Lead electrical panel testing and validation• Manage test area operations and schedules• Perform insulation resistance tests and secondary injections• Coordinate witness acceptance tests• Maintain EHS standards• Support occasional on-site commissioning• Drive quality control and documentation• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project objectivesWhat does it take to be successful in this role?• Electrical/Systems Engineering background• Experience with high voltage systems• Strong problem-solving abilities• Excellent project coordination skills• Understanding of electrical schematics• Health and safety awareness• Power industry knowledge• Precision metering (CoP1, CoP2)• SCADA and control systems• Network programming• Testing qualifications• Communications protocolsWe are fully committed to providing equal opportunities and building an inclusive workplace where a broad range of backgrounds and perspectives thrive.
