Aboutthe Team

We are looking torecruit an Exchequer Forecast Analystwhich sits within the Corporate Centre Group of the Exchequer Fundsand AccountsTeam.


We are aforward-thinking team, managing the central treasury functionwithin HM Treasury. We need your expertise to help us predict wherethe money’s going, so our partners at the UK Debt Management Officecan plan their market activities as efficiently aspossible.


Aboutthe Job

In this role, youwill:

  • Own the cashflow forecastprocess and models. Taking responsibility for the accuracy andintegrity of data, monitoring model performance against servicelevel agreements and targets and providing insights, assumptions,and advice.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriatetools and solutions that address our partners requirements withinconstraints.
  • Build and maintain our partnerrelationships.
  • Work with partners to reviewprocess issues and implement a program of continuous improvementwhich leverages emerging technology and bestpractices.
  • Create documentation and providetraining to ensure our partners understand the solution, how to useit effectively and its limitations.
  • Workclosely with cross functional teams to ensure alignment, andpromote best practice acrossgovernment.


Yourrole will be to determine how much money we will have in thefuture, where it’ll come from and who will spend it. You’llcollaborate with teams across Government to understand ourfinancial needs and risks, and use your experience in modelling andcoding to define and maintain models that can help us forecast thefuture moreaccurately.


AboutYou

You will have experience inforecast analysis, whether financial or otherwise, that is valuedby our partners and delivers high quality outcomes. You should havestrong communication, problem solving and team working skills. Aswell as an understanding of, or an aptitude to learn, economic anddata science tools andtechniques.
