Financial Planning Administrator - Northampton - £25,000 plus Benefits including study support

Our client is a well established and respected firm of Chartered Financial Planners based in Northampton. They are currently searching for a Financial Planning Administrator who can play a crucial role in supporting their financial planners and delivering outstanding service to their HNW client base.

The company are able to offer this role due to an internal promotion and as such, are also able to offer progression opportunities to the successful candidate. Those who are looking for a rewarding career in Financial Planning will be supported towards studies for the Level 4 Diploma Financial Planning and given opportunities to train as a Paraplanner. For the right person, this could also lead to a client facing Financial Planner position, although this would naturally take a number of years to achieve..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare client meetings and manage schedules efficiently.
  • Liaise with product providers to gather essential information and maintain client records.
  • Drive the submission and setup of new business applications.
  • Track progress, ensuring seamless communication with providers, and uphold regulatory standards throughout the process.
  • Handle general office tasks such as post management, scanning, and record-keeping.
  • Provide invaluable support to the financial planner and team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively.
  • Minimum three years of administrative experience.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Previous experience in financial services administration, ideally within a firm of IFA's is advantageous

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to £25,000 (dependent on experience).
  • 25 days of holiday per full-time equivalent (FTE), plus bank holidays.
  • 5% matching employer pension contribution.
  • Study support towards CII Diploma Financial Planning Qualifications (R01-R06)
  • Early finish on Fridays.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, based in person at their location in Northampton. Part-time applicants will also be considered.

Education & Experience:

  • GCSE or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum three years of administrative experience essential.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
