We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team in a thriving contract catering, commercial kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing healthy, balanced and nutritious cold teas and desserts from scratch.

Our award winning menus take influences from seasonal crops and rotate every 3 weeks to offer our customers a broad and diverse range of meals from freshly prepared ingredients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality food production and presentation
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking of hot meals, sandwiches and desserts
  • Preparation of ingredients
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new dishes and menus
  • Product labelling and date labelling
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and adherence to food safety standards

Personal qualities-Our future Chef needs to have a fun, friendly can do attitude, who is considered as organised, punctual and can cope with early starts.

Experience-
- Proven experience working in a restaurant kitchen or commercial/hospitality environment
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively

-Proven ability to handle and control allergen requirements safely

A minimum of level 2 health and hygiene is required for this role, we can offer training for this in house. HACCP controls and COSHH knowledge preferred and allergen awareness experience would be a bonus. Please detail any relevant experience on you CV

Working hours-

Monday to Friday, 5am-14:00, no evenings or weekends. Christmas New Year and bank holidays off.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
