We Do It Right - We Do It Well - We Execute as a Team and We Take a Long-Term View.Job Description:In this role you are accountable for Routine sampling/analysisAssisting with the Start-up and shutdown of plant following the appropriate training (planned or emergency shutdown)Routine monitoring (readings) of plant and reporting of faultsPreparing equipment for maintenanceRoutine checks of safety equipmentProfessional interaction with third parties as required by the job roleCompile Shift LogHandover to incoming and outgoing shifts appropriately and rigorouslyComplete plant weekly routinesCommunicate plant issues to departmental management and raising work request in the maintenance system as requiredMaximise efficiency of plantCarry out on the job risk assessments on a continuous basisProviding assistance to local management and maintenance staff in non-routine circumstances (e.g. breakdowns)Supporting delivery of departmental/site targets and KPIsReview of existing operating instructions and proceduresOn suitable demonstration of competency progress to issuing safe work permitsWhen competent training of other operators or new starters in the process roles.Skills and Competencies Experience in a 24/7 operations environmentPractical knowledge of computerised operating systems and software packages including Delta V (DCS) Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite would be a distinct advantageStrong work ethicA team player who can be counted on to provide support to work colleaguesIdeally the candidate will have previous chemical process plant experience and preferably have attained education standard C&G Process Operations/Process Technology (0610) Level III or equivalent.
