We work in close partnership with both commercial clients and local authorities, delivering convenient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible disposal solutions for a variety of wastes streams.Our experience spans a wide range of environmental initiatives — from pioneering the UK’s Composting Industry in the 90’s to developing a variety of renewable energy projects, including Biomass Combined Heat & Power plant, Anaerobic Digestion and one of the UK’s largest solar installations, in the 00’s.Purpose Play a crucial role in supporting the business by managing enhancement and development projects, as well as supporting Managers in finding engineering solutions to operational problems.Key responsibilitiesWork closely with the Technical Development Director (TDD) in conceiving, developing and delivering growth projects, (such as Energy Recovery Facility, Anaerobic Digestion, BioGas Refuelling and Residual Waste Treatment.)Work closely with the Site and Plant management teams to deliver enhancement projects, such as Digestate Reduction.Work closely with both the TDD and Finance Director (FD) to create and analyse business models and make investment recommendations.Effectively project manage approved projects from concept through to operational integration.Support with the technical and consenting aspects of project development through to delivery, working collaboratively with the Commercial Team for all market aspects and Operational Team for integration and compliance.Take every opportunity to gain insight into Eco’s industries, both direct and synergistic to identify suitable emerging and existing technologies.About You - A creative problem solver with a solid engineering background. - A strong project manager, who can deliver from concept to operational integration. - Commercially minded and able to support with financial modelling and advise on ROI. - Knowledgeable in UK environmental and permitting frameworks.- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with diverse stakeholders. - A good understanding of our markets and regulation — familiarity with Ofgem processes, renewable subsidy schemes, and revenue streams (FITs, ROCs, RHI, GGSS, PPAs, RGGOs, REGOs) is desirable. - Curious and forward-thinking — able to identify and evaluate emerging technologies. - Passionate about renewable energy, waste, and continuous improvement.- Full UK driving license and internationally mobile for potential site visits (when required) What’s on Offer- Competitive salary DOE- Annual company-performance related bonus- Life Assurance (4x basic annual salary)- Hybrid working (Office near Bournemouth Airport)- 33 days Holiday including bank holidays- Company pension + enhanced employer contributions- Autonomy and trust in decision-making - Company-funded learning & development opportunities - Cycle-to-work scheme & EV salary sacrifice scheme- Funded Team Social events
