We take pride in our well-earned reputation as a dedicated and trusted partner to top-tier miners and processors industrial consumers and major financial institutions.Position Summary:Gerald Group is looking for a Vice President of Insurance to oversee insurance and related risk-mitigation products for our business. This includes typical products associated with commodities trading as well as structured finance transactions credit and political risk mining operations as well as general corporate policies.The role will be responsible for leading the origination of these products managing their implementation and monitoring throughout transaction the successful candidate will be required to develop strong relationships with brokers underwriters and financial institutions to enhance the Groups presence and position requires close collaboration with internal teams across business development structured finance trade finance legal trading desks credit and human resources.Responsibilities:Identifies structures and secures appropriate Risk mitigation products for various exposures of the Group (including credit pre-export and structured trade finance political risk cargo etc).Leads all insurance-related aspects of the deal implementation process (i.e. policy and premium management) conforming policies to deals/contracts preparation of insurance proposals amendment to policies and all other steps required to ensure compliance.Lead policy renewal efforts optimizing costs and coverages where appropriate.Managing claims process across various policiesCoordinates closely with departments managing exposures to ensure risk mitigation requirements of the Group are met by the policies secured in the most appropriate and cost-effective manner.Develops and manages relationships with external institutions including attending industry events meetings and presentation preparation as required.Special projects and additional responsibilities as required by senior management.Requirements:Bachelors degree required10 years of insurance including experience with credit risk policies requiredExperience working with commodities trading requiredTravel required 30% of time - interoffice travel and transactions specific will both be part of the roleHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to work on-site 5 days a weekRequired Experience:Chief Key Skills Change Management,Financial Services,Growing Experience,Managed Care,Management Experience,Analysis Skills,Senior Leadership,Performance Management,Process Management,Leadership Experience,negotiation,Analytics Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
