Shift Operations Technician – Energy from WasteUp to £48,000 + bonus + benefitsLincoln areaMC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Shift Operator / Operations Technician / DCS Operator to join an energy from waste power station in the Lincoln area.The Shift Operations Technician will be responsible for starting, stopping and monitoring the plant via a DCS system to ensure the site meets its operational targets in a safe and efficient manner.As a Shift Operations Technician you will be responsible for: Starting, stopping and monitoring boilers, steam turbines, pumps, water treatment plant and heat exchangers via a DCSMonitoring trends such as pressure, temperatures and flows around the facility and making adjustments accordinglyPerforming basic first line maintenance tasks and reporting any defects to the Shift Team LeaderAssisting with shutdown activities within the plant ensuring downtime is kept to a minimumCarrying out all activities with the highest regard for health and safetyTo be considered for this role you should have: Operational experience gained in a heavy process environment that involves the generation of high-pressure steam e.g. power generation, chemical, refinery, CHP etc utilising a DCS / SCADA control systemIdeally a relevant engineering qualification such as ONC/BTEC/NVQ/apprenticeship etcBasic first line maintenance experience would be desirableA flexible approach to working routines and willingness to work on a shift pattern that involves 12-hour shiftsThis is an exciting opportunity to join a leading business within the energy from waste sector.
