A prestigious London-based hedge fund is seeking a highly skilled Systematic Equity Trader  to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in developing and deploying systematic cash equity long/short strategies within a world-class trading environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement systematic cash equity long/short strategies, ideally with holding periods under one month. Experience with intraday strategies is highly valuable.
  • Build and enhance systematic frameworks on top of the fund’s existing infrastructure to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize trading strategies, ensuring seamless execution and risk management.
  • Utilize strong programming skills to develop and refine models and systems to support trading operations.
  • Actively monitor and manage risk, ensuring strategies align with the fund's performance goals and risk appetite.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven track record of building and deploying systematic equity strategies, with demonstrable success in a hedge fund or proprietary trading environment.
  • Strong programming expertise (e.g., Python, C++, Java) and experience in quantitative modeling.
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles and practical experience running risk for deployed strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering results under pressure.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to work effectively with the wider team.
