Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, highly motivated acoustic engineer to join our growing UK R&D Centre. The acoustic engineer will be responsible for developing specific product ranges of first-rate audio products, from concept through to production for some of the world’s leading high-end brands.
We can off this as a contract role or temp employee.
Responsibilities
· Develop audio systems and/or transducers for professional Live sound, Studio, high-end Hi-fi and automotive.
· Convert product concept into engineering activities from RFQ through to final product delivery.
· Collaborating with acoustic, electronic, mechanical and manufacturing engineers across the globe to design and develop high quality transducers and audio systems.
· Interacting with customers to plan projects, identify and formalise design requirements, implement, test, and ultimately release finished designs
· Oversee measuring, listening and analysis of prototypes and competitive products, objectively and subjectively.
· Strive for excellence, quality, and efficiency
Essential Skills and Experience
· Degree (or equivalent experience) in acoustics, physics, electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering, or other science/technology subject if relevant
· At least 2 or more years of loudspeaker or transducer development experience
· Experience in specifying audio transducers and acoustic system requirements
· Experience in developing passive and active crossovers, and acoustic system tuning with DSP.
· Keen to develop product design skills working in a large acoustic and electronic product design group
· Very organised, self-motivated with a strong capacity to recognise priorities, whilst being process-oriented
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Proficient at using Microsoft packages
