As a Software Engineer IIIJava/Python at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate SectorTreasury and Chief Investment Office Technology team you serve as a seasoned member of an Agile team to design and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

This new role requires a driven individual who thrives in a fastpaced setting takes ownership of tasks and is comfortable working as part of an Agile team on solutions for the TCIO trading desk. The successful candidate will develop components to support trade /trade management functionality for financial products. The role requires knowledge of Agile Delivery Methodologies and ObjectOriented Design whilst being able to excel as part of a team via excellent technical contribution communication and partnership.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop enhance and support the Trade Platform which is critical to trading and other business activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements propose solutions and deliver highquality software solutions in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify improvements in the systems and processes to reduce risk and improve performance.
  • Ensure clear communication with colleagues to align on technical solutions and business needs.
  • Execute creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Participate in the discovery and design phases and interact with other technology teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop secure highquality production code and review and debug code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the SoftwareDevelopment Life Cycle
  • Contribute to the wider team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect.

Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience.
  • Handson practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
  • Hands on experience with modern frontend technologies (React/Angular/Typescript)
  • Exposure to Cloud platforms like Kubernetes/Cloud Foundry
  • Proficient in coding in one or more languages and frameworks such as Python Pandas Django Java Spring SQL MQ/Kafka
  • Demonstrated ability to problemsolve in realtime and handle technical issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong communication skills and abilityto work collaboratively with nontechnical colleagues to understand and address business needs.
  • Solid technology background with experience in objectoriented programming and a commitment to writing clean efficient and scalable code.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a global team.
  • Handson practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Financial Industry experience and familiarity with investment banking products fixed income derivatives.
  • Project experience with Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with nontechnical colleagues to understand and address business needs.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies using AWS.
