Adult programmes include Functional Skills qualifications and a GCSE in English Language which is available as either a daytime or evening study option. Many of the school-leavers undertaking GCSE resits may have had a disrupted secondary education and/or have diagnosed or undiagnosed special educational needs while a significant proportion of adult English learners have English as a second language and have progressed from ESOL programmes.An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated person to join our highly-dedicated team as a Curriculum Lead in English. This role is ideal for a high performing English teacher who is keen to develop experience in leadership as part of the departments leadership team. It combines teaching English across a range of programmes with leadership responsibility for a specific area of the provision. The successful candidate will be a driven and dynamic individual with a proven ability to provide high quality teaching and learning in English.
