Job DescriptionAssociate Solicitor Commercial LitigationSalary: DOE Bonus Location: Harrow North West London High-Quality Commercial Disputes Work & Clear ProgressionThe OpportunityOur client a well-established commercial law firm in Harrow is looking to appoint an Associate Solicitor Commercial Litigation to join their growing disputes team.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded litigator who wants genuine responsibility direct client contact and a clear route to Senior Associate and beyond within a firm that genuinely prioritises its people professional development and worklife balance.The Role: What Youll Be DoingAs an Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team you will:Manage your own caseloadof commercial disputes including:Shareholder and partnership disputesProperty and land disputesLandlord and tenant mattersInsolvency-related litigationGeneral commercial contract disputesReport directly to the Head of Department supporting them with:Workflow managementacross the teamBudget and financial performanceof the practice groupBusiness development and marketing initiativesWork closely with commercial clients providing pragmatic solutions-focused adviceContribute to team growth helping to shape processes client care standards and best practiceAbout You: Experience & RequirementsTo be considered for this role you will ideally have:Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales36 years PQEinCommercial Litigation(applications slightly outside this range will be considered on merit)Strong experiencehandling a mixed caseload of:Shareholder / partnership disputesProperty and landlord & tenant disputesCommercial contract disputesInsolvency-related matters (desirable)Technical skills & competencies:Confident withdrafting pleadings witness statements and correspondenceExperience withADR mediation and settlement negotiationsComfortable withcourt proceduresin the County Court and High CourtClient-facing experience including direct contact with SME and owner-managed business clientsAcommercial mindset able to balance legal risk with practical business outcomesStrong communication skills both written and verbal with excellent attention to detailA proactive collaborative approach and a genuine interest inbusiness developmentandgrowing client relationshipsTechnical Skills & QualificationsQualified Solicitor (England & Wales) essentialCommercial Litigation backgroundfrom a recognised commercial or regional firmSolid working knowledge of:Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)Insolvency Act / Companies Act(advantageous)Landlord & tenant legislationConfident usingcase management systems and standard Microsoft Office toolsSalary Benefits & Working ArrangementsSalary: DOEBonus:Attractive performance-related bonus structureLocation:Harrow North West London easily commutable from Central and North West LondonWorking pattern:Hybrid working(office and home-based blend)Flexibility tomanage your own time and workloadBenefits include (subject to confirmation with our client):25 days holiday bank holidays(with potential to increase with service)Pension schemeOngoing training and CPD supportStructured mentorshipfrom senior litigators and the Head of DepartmentGenuine career progressionto Senior Associate and for the right person a future route to partnershipSupportivepeople-first culture with a focus on trust autonomy and continuous learningCareer Progression & DevelopmentOur client is committed to long-term career development.
