Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in Huddersfield who are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time and permanent position, offering hybrid working where you will assist the accounts department supporting the monthly management accounts. This office is based within central Huddersfield and is easily commutable from surrounding cities.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Code and post invoices
  • Credit control of Sales invoices
  • Reconcile purchase ledger accounts
  • Prepare proposed payment runs
  • Post cash to purchase and sales ledgers
  • Report on debtors and creditors balances
  • Liaise with Supplier and Customer accounts departments via phone and email
  • Prepare and post journals
  • Prepare intercompany journals and reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile credit card receipts
  • Code and post staff expenses

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience within a similar finance position
  • AAT studier or similar
  • Educated to A level standard
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Advanced Excell skills
  • Highley numerate and accurate eye for detail
