A Mobile fitter is now required for our client who is a specialist supplier for rail plants and related trackside services specially designed for rail projects for network rail. This role requires a coverage area of Croydon and surrounding areas with a company van provided as well as private healthcare, gym membership, discounts and many other company benefits. This role offers routes for progression with ongoing learning and development opportunities.In this role, you will be carrying out maintenance, service and repair to company small plants and small tools. The ideal candidate will come with a background as a fitter or mechanic. This role requires a manual driving licence (ideally clean), also the successful candidate will be expected to pass a drug and alcohol railway standard medical which will be organised for you.Mobile Fitter - Croydon Job Overview Carry out maintenance, service, repair of company and customer assets at customer premises of rail plant and tools inclusive on generators, wrenches, cutting equipment & other plant and tool equipment Work alone or part of a team at customer premises ensuring that equipment is maintained and serviced to manufacturer specifications Keep records up to date Adhere to company and customer regulations Ensure van stock is kept to a required level by ordering parts as required No mandatory weekends or night work, this role has a working pattern of Monday-Friday daytime shifts Mobile Fitter - Croydon Job Requirements Experience as a fitter or mechanic Full UK driving licence Flexibility in working hours and happy to stay away occasionally Knowledge of small plant engines such as petrol 2 stroke, 4 stroke and diesels Organisational skills to plan won work load and manage time effectively The candidate has to be able to pass a drug and alcohol railway standard medical then undertake a PTS safety qualification training which will all be organised for you Mobile Fitter - Croydon Salary & Benefits £29,000-£32,000 salary dependant on experience 40 hour working week (8 hours a day Monday-Friday) 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to purchase extra holiday Company van and fuel card Free tool hire Overtime available Learning and development opportunities Life insurance Healthcare Service recognition Discounts on various well-known brands Gym discounts Pension Bennett & Game Recruitment are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
