Global Head of Compliance

InterQuest are currently supporting a well established Pensions, Wealth & Incentive services organization to identify a Global Head of Compliance to join the organisation on a permanent basis.
The role would hold oversight of the global compliance framework across the globe ensuring a positive compliance culture in embedded. The role holder would act as the point of escalation for all compliance related matters for the organisation and would report directly to the CEO. You would work with the orgnaisation to ensure they meet their strategic and operational goals alongside maintaining awareness of financial crime and regulatory risks.
This would be a largely home based position where some travel may be required on an ad hoc basis across Europe.
Responsibilities would include:
- Working with and overseeing reviews, writing and implementation or policies and procedures for the group.
- Maintaining a close relationship with Legal to develop and maintain the regulatory and risk framework, controls, policies and procedures and the testing and monitoring of the same, that ensure effective decision-making processes across the organisation.
- Ensure appropriate research and monitoring of developments in the financial services regulatory and legal environment alongside assessing the likely impact to the business,
- Creating and implementing data protection strategies to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR
To be considered you would need:
- Extensive knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering, Countering the Financing of Terrorism, financial crimes, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to governance, risk, compliance and data protection
- An excellent background in data protection, GDPR compliance and data privacy assessments
- A demonstrable background in the the Wealth Management sector and the associated client needs as well as working knowledge of trust and company laws.
- Excellent management experience ideally with direct experience engaging with regulatory bodies and leading global compliance teams
