Senior Officer Procurement (FCS108)Senior Officer Procurement (FCS108)Contract: Fixed term until 17 July 2026 working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)Salary: 38404 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme generous annual leave and flexible and hybrid working.Location: Manchester (The role will be based in Manchester; however we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team normally 1-2 days a week)Introduction: Arts Council is an arms-length body of the Department of Culture Media and Sport responsible for distributing lottery funding across the cultural sector.The small Procurement team sits within the Finance department. We are changing the role of procurement across the organisation enabling clients to deliver high quality value for money services through effective procurement and contract management. We also align our procurement activity with corporate objectives such as our Net Zero and equality diversity and inclusion ambitions and we recently won an award for embedding accessibility into a tender project.Role Details: The postholder will support the Procurement Manager to deliver value for money through the effective procurement of goods and services and in compliance with public procurement regulations. You will provide advice guidance and support to departments across the organisation including the preparation of tender documents and supporting the evaluation and contract award process. You should have experience of public procurement have a thorough understanding of the Public Contract Regulations and the Procurement Act and knowledge of e-procurement systems. You should have attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to work with limited direction.
