A well-established UK manufacturer and distributor is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee daily transport operations for a busy North West site. This is a key role ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods across the UK, while maintaining excellent customer service levels.Key Responsibilities as Transport ManagerManage daily transport planning, scheduling, and vehicle utilisationManage and maintain company O-Licence complianceOversee drivers, third-party carriers, and a transport planning teamEnsure full compliance with UK transport legislation and maintain accurate fleet recordsWork closely with internal teams to align transport plans with operational needsLiaise with customers on delivery requirements and updatesManage transport budgets, cost control, and operational reportingThe successful candidateProven experience in transport management within manufacturing, distribution, FMCG or 3PL operationsStrong knowledge of UK transport legislation and complianceStrong IT skills and excellent leadership and communication abilitiesCPC in Transport Management (Road Haulage)Experience working with third-party logistics providersOn offerA salary to £50,000Pension25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidaysFree car parking
