Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Manchester, NW UK Salary: £60,000 to £75,000 + car & package A main contractor with a strong track record in complex structures across infrastructure and building is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a secured highways project in the North West. The contract spans two years and involves delivery of multiple structures on a major highways programme, making this a commercially significant role in the North West. Role Overview The Senior Quantity Surveyor will act as commercial lead on site, managing day-to-day commercial activity and mentoring a small team. Working closely with project leadership, you will ensure robust cost control, accurate reporting, and effective contract management throughout the programme. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial management of a package of highways structures Oversee change control, valuations, cost forecasting, and final accounts Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance monitoring Ensure compliance with all contractual and commercial requirements Produce accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management Mentor and develop junior commercial staff Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partnersEssential Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large infrastructure or building projects Strong knowledge of contract management, ideally NEC Demonstrated experi...
