About the role

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager the Group Accountant will undertake a varied and challenging role focussing on Group Consolidated Accounting, Statutory Reporting and providing Technical Accounting support to assist the Annual Group Audit. Key duties include:

  • Group accounting & consolidations
  • Providing support with month-end consolidations and reporting
  • Monthly financial reporting including P & L, balance sheet and cashflow
  • Integration of newly acquired entities into the consolidated total
  • Preparing group monthly management accounts for board review
  • Resolving group accounting matters such as acquisitions, goodwill impairment test and new accounting standards
  • Ensuring the company meet all relevant IFRS standards
  • Managing the review and completion of all UK statutory accounts
  • Weekly Flash Reporting and Quarterly bank reporting

About You

  • You will be ACA or ACCA Qualified with a proven audit background ideally gained within a Top 10 Accounting Firm
  • Applicants will have gained audit experience within a PLC environment and have a good knowledge of IFRS
  • The successful candidate will ideally have gained exposure within a Group environment and have knowledge of consolidation systems
