Located in Newtown Powys The Oaks is a purposebuilt luxury nursing and residential home operated by Sandstone Care Group. Opened in January 2020 this 73bed facility offers residents access to premium amenities including a coffee shop hair and nail salon dedicated dining and lounge areas activity rooms and landscaped gardens. As a Bank Senior Care Assistant at our home your role may involve:

  • Undertaking all required training and development
  • Supporting residents with personal care hygiene meals and daily activities
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Encouraging residents to engage in their hobbies and personal interests promoting a fulfilling lifestyle
  • Ensuring high standards of care and cleanliness within the home
  • Taking on seniorlevel responsibilities such as staff supervisions appraisals record management liaising with external professionals and interviewing
  • Working varied shifts on both residential and dementia care floors

Candidate Requirements

  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting
  • Positive attitude and a warm approachable personality
  • Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Proficiency in recordkeeping and use of relevant technologies
  • Ability to remain calm and guide colleagues effectively under pressure
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns that meet the needs of our residents
