We have an exciting opportunity for a Water Resource Options & Resilience Planner to join the new Asset Management directorate at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. As a Resilience Planner, you’ll collaborate across teams and sectors to develop innovative, long-term solutions that protect our water resources for generations to come. Where you fit in: As our Water Resource Options & Resilience Planner you will: Coordinate the implementation of Yorkshire Water’s options development framework to support strategic water planning. Lead the review and update of the Water Supply Systems Strategy. Align and integrate planning frameworks across business functions. Ensure the programme meets regulatory and government expectations across engineering, cost, environment, and water safety. Manage a pipeline of opportunities and support commercial development. Identify and escalate risks, issues, and opportunities within the programme. Maintain strong relationships with regulators and external stakeholders. Ensure financial and commercial decisions align with company strategy. Interpret regulatory requirements to guide service and performance risk. Shape long-term investment plans to meet performance and customer outcomes. Represent asset strategies and environmental obligations in business cases. Monitor and control expenditure in partnership with finance teams. Contribute to team performance by linking individual goals to wider objectives. Manage priority projects effectively and deliver results. What skills & qualifications you will need: Strong understanding of water supply systems and water resources planning. Technical knowledge of water distribution networks. Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography). Solid grasp of UK water policy, regulation, and legislation. Proven experience in data compilation, analysis, interpretation, and communication. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and balance stakeholder needs effectively. Proficient in IT systems, with experience analysing complex datasets. Demonstrated project management experience. Track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging targets. Full UK driving licence.
