We work with a wide range of clients, including the local authorities, legal firms, medical related appointments and private businesses. Due to increasing demand, we are looking for skilled interpreters in various languages to join our network. The Role : As a freelance interpreter, you will: Facilitate communication between non-English speakers and service providersInterpret in settings such as courts, law firms, social services, and healthcare facilitiesMaintain professionalism, confidentiality, and impartialityWork on an ad-hoc basis with flexibility to accept assignments that suit your availabilityRequirements : Fluency inAmharic and Tigrinya and EnglishPrevious interpreting/translation experience (preferred)Valid/current Enhanced DBS checkEligibility for self-employment in the UKTwo professional interpreting/translation referencesProfessionalism, reliability, and strong communication skillsAbility to travel to on-site assignmentsInternet access and email for remote assignmentsCommitment to accurate, confidential, and impartial servicePreferably qualified under Legal Aid Agency guidelinesQualifications Accepted: Community Interpreting Level 3Community Interpreting Level 4Community Interpreting Level 6Diploma in Police InterpretingDiploma in Public Service Interpreting (Law, Health, Local Government)Immigration Nationality Directorate CertificateUK Border Agency CertificateLanguage-related Degree or DiplomaWhy Join Us?
