HSE Recruitment are working with a global engineering business to find them a HSEQ Advisor at their production facility in Shoreham-By-Sea. You have the opportunity to work in an exciting up and coming sector in a role, and for a business to truly make your mark. The role is based at the Shoreham site, ideally 5 days a week – this site presence is key for succeeding as it’s all about building relationships. You have full responsibility for HSEQ on site and will work closely with the SLT to affect change. The site itself is a large, state of the art facility with circa 400 staff. They do everything from design and development, right through to the testing and integration of their products.There is a positive culture but with every business there are pockets that are more challenging than others. This site is receptive to change and want to improve so with the right person, they can really make their mark. There has been a 50% increase in near miss reporting and LTI’s are down, so things are moving in the right direction. Some things to get your teeth stuck into immediately include reviewing fire risk assessments and contractor control.Person spec:What’s most important is finding someone has the following traits: switched on, self-motivated, driven, engaging, able to influence, good with people, strong communicator at all levels, hands on, come with fresh ideas, desire to keep improving. The ability to take the technical knowledge but translate it into a language that people understand and can buy into.NEBOSH Certificate level as a minimumBackground in manufacturing, engineering or production would be an advantage but not above the personality traits we need.Internal auditor and fire safety experience would be desirableThe role is paying £35-45,000 depending on experience.If you are interested in finding out more, please send your CV to (url removed) or apply and we can arrange a call
