Private Equity Solicitor

Our client, a leading US firm is seeking to expand its Private Equity team in London with the addition of an Associate with 4-5PQE.
Private equity is a key component of the firm's corporate strategy, leading to significant growth and the need for additional associate hires to support expansion plans. The London office has enjoyed growth in this area and now seeks highly motivated individuals to join their collegial and diverse team.
The firm prides itself on long-term relationships with private equity sponsors, providing comprehensive legal support from fund formation through to investment activities and exit strategies. The team works with a diverse range of clients, including buyout funds, venture capital funds, and many others across various industries such as technology, healthcare, automotive, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on a variety of private equity transactions.
- Forge long-term relationships with private equity sponsors.
- Collaborate with industry-specific experts to provide tailored solutions.
- Assist clients with structuring, preparing, managing, and executing transactions.
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on related financing, tax, and structural issues.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 4-5 years post qualification experience.
- Experience in Private Equity transactions, preferably with significant sponsor side exposure.
- Experience gained within a reputable law firm focusing on UK law transactions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication style.
- Ability to work effectively within a close-knit team and interact confidently with clients.
- A proactive interest in business development and networking.
- Commercial and pragmatic outlook with a strong drive for success.
- Degree certificate(s) from a reputable institution, achieving a minimum grade of 2:1 or equivalent.
- Self-motivated, dynamic, and possessing a proactive attitude.
